Savings depend on orientation, daytime usage, shading and system size. As a guide, a typical home with a 3–5 kW system can offset 30–70% of its bill. We’ll model your consumption and provide a clear savings report with the proposal.
Not always. Grid-tied systems reduce your bill during the day. Add a battery (hybrid system) if you want backup during outages, to use more solar at night, or to smooth peak tariffs. You can also start grid-tied and add batteries later.
A standard grid-tied inverter shuts down for safety when the grid is off. To keep essential loads on during outages, choose our Hybrid package (solar + battery + backup circuit).
Energy assessment, custom design, panels, inverter(s), mounting, DC/AC protection, wiring, monitoring setup, commissioning, training, and all CEB/permit paperwork. We also provide after-sales support.
Residential installs typically take 1–3 days on site. Including design, approvals, and scheduling, most projects energise in 2–6 weeks, depending on CEB processing, stock, and weather.
The CEB Household Rooftop Solar Scheme allows homeowners in Mauritius to install rooftop solar systems and connect them to the national grid. Eligible systems can be up to 10 kW, with the option of net metering or gross metering, subject to CEB approval and local network capacity.
The scheme is open to eligible CEB residential customers installing solar at their home. Applicants must meet the required technical and administrative requirements, including providing the necessary ownership, electrical and installation documents.
Under the current household scheme, residential solar systems can be approved up to 10 kW. The final approved capacity depends on your property's electrical installation, compliance with CEB requirements and the available capacity of the local electricity network.
Current regulations allow systems of up to 3.5 kW to be installed with or without a battery, while larger systems require battery storage. Since regulations may change, Enovra confirms the latest CEB and DBM requirements before finalising your installation.
Eligible homeowners may receive a grant covering 25% of the eligible system cost, up to a maximum of Rs 75,000. The grant is subject to eligibility requirements and approval by the relevant authorities.

Yes. Enovra assists with quotations, system design, technical documentation and the CEB application process. Final approval for grants, grid connection and commissioning remains the responsibility of CEB and the relevant authorities.
The CEB household application includes a non-refundable processing fee of Rs 2,000. Additional costs may apply if your installation requires electrical upgrades, metering changes or three-phase power.
With net metering, excess solar energy offsets the electricity you import from the grid. With gross metering, all the electricity generated by your solar system is exported to the grid and credited at the applicable feed-in tariff, while your household consumption is billed separately.
Solar can significantly reduce your electricity costs, but it may not eliminate your bill completely. Your savings depend on your electricity consumption, system size, battery storage, metering option and the amount of energy imported from or exported to the grid.
Under the current household scheme, the amount of electricity exported to the CEB grid is limited to 50% of your approved system capacity. Your inverter settings are configured to comply with this requirement.
Not always. Smaller systems may operate on a single-phase connection, while larger export capacities generally require three-phase power. Enovra assesses your property and advises the most suitable connection for your installation.
The ideal number of panels depends on your electricity usage, roof space, available sunlight, shading and whether you plan to install battery storage. Enovra performs a detailed assessment to recommend the right system for your needs.
Yes, if you install a hybrid solar system with battery storage. During a power outage, the battery can supply selected backup circuits, with the backup duration depending on battery capacity and your electricity usage.
Yes. Solar panels continue generating electricity whenever there is daylight, although production is lower during cloudy weather. Overall performance depends on weather conditions, shading, panel orientation and system design.
Not every roof is suitable for solar installation. Before installation, Enovra evaluates your roof's condition, structure, orientation, available space, shading and accessibility to ensure a safe and efficient system.
In many cases, yes. Expansion depends on the capacity of your inverter, battery, electrical equipment, available roof space and any additional CEB approval that may be required for larger systems.
The installation itself is typically completed within a few days, depending on the size and complexity of the system. However, the overall project timeline also includes CEB processing, inspections and final commissioning.
Warranty coverage depends on the specific panels, inverter, battery and other equipment selected. Enovra clearly explains the manufacturer's product warranties as well as the workmanship warranty included with your installation.
